Community Engagement Specialist: Regional, Full-Time, Exempt Position - Bachelor's Degree in a human service related field required. Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling Psychology is preferred. 

The individual hired into this position  will perform intensive case management and community  support duties for identified consumers that are at risk of being involuntarily hospitalized or have been discharged from a state facility or diversionary hospital; position includes being involved in required service team meetings, training events and providing supportive services to these individuals. 

Duties also may include:

-assessment
-supportive counseling
-psycho education
-monitoring
-transportation
-crisis intervention
-other support deemed appropriate on the individual;s service plan.

This position will be responsible for meeting at least annually with judicial offices, law enforcement personnel, attorneys, healthcare providers and other individuals that may  be involved with the involuntary hospitalization process.

Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist:  Potomac Highlands Guild has a full-time Prevention Specialist position available in Berkeley County.  The Prevention Specialist’s primary function will be to work within the designated county in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and develop prevention planning against the use of prescription pills.  The Prevention Specialist will work collaboratively with community organizations, individuals, and schools in providing a continuum of technical assistance on topics such as assessing community strengths and challenges, strategic planning, formulating goals and objectives, and developing and implementing evidence-based programs, practices and policies.  

Travel will be required within the county.  Bachelor of Arts Degree in a Human Service related field is required.
